First Uniform Day Is Here

Our first uniform wear day will be Wednesday, 1 September - FOR ADVANCED CADETS ONLY. The uniform of the day will be Combination 3 - short sleeve shirts without tie. Medals are authorized.

For future reference, here are our three uniform combinations:

Combination 1 - service dress
Combination 2 - short or long sleeve shirts with tie/tab
Combination 3 - short sleeve shirt without tie/tab

NOTES:
1. Windbreakers are authorized with Combination 2 or 3
2. Medals may only be authorized for wear by the SASI
3. Special team uniforms may only be worn when specified by the instructor team

Special Teams Ready To Start

All AFJROTC cadets returning to - or interested in joining - our Special Teams need to be aware of the following practice dates and times:

Starting on Tuesday, 31 August

Drill Team: Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 until 8:30

Color Guard: Wednesday 7:30 until 8:30

First year students - either semester - are invited to join the team. Cadets will be trained to perform all Special Team positions: Drill team, Color Guard, Saber Team, Honor Guard.

All cadets need to meet in room R102.

Off we go again......

The new semester has begun, and our freshmen are already wondering what they are doing here. But they will learn - and prosper. This will be a big year for many reasons. We will be inspected by the Air Force, we might end up planning the Greenville County Military Ball, and, of course, we have a leadership school to run. In between, there will be community service projects, patriotic ceremonies, parades, drill competitions, color guard performances, and maybe some flying. If the Civil Air Patrol aircraft is in commission, we will be flying cadets right away. Our new syllabus is posted on our web page under PROGRAM OVERVIEW, and we think the cadets will enjoy it. For the cadets who have a positive attitude about what we do, this will be a great year!
