SC-954 Remembers 9/11

On September 11th at 9:30, the cadets of AFJROTC, joined by Wade Hampton administrators, students, and teachers paused to remember the day that changed our lives forever. Our Principal, Mr. Lance Radford offered words of sympathy for those lost and gratitude for those who carry on the effort to preserve our way of life and provide safety in our every day activities. We were honored to have Greenville County Sheriff Steven Loftis with us to represent our dedicated police personnel. He was joined by our very own Officer Neil Mitchell. Fire protection forces were represented by Lieutenant Gilstrap from the Wade Hampton fire department. Several fire fighters joined him. After the ceremony a reception honored those who serve so that we might live in safety. A special part of the ceremony was performed by Mr. Andy Stevens from the Piedmont Pipers. His bagpipe rendention of Amazing Grace stirred everyone in attendance.
