Awards Honor Special Cadets

May 23rd was very special in the life of our program. We took the opportunity to recognize some of our most deserving cadets and supporters of our program. From special team awards to national awards, it was an evening to remember. We recognized six Cadets of the Year: Mick Perry, Austin Mohring, Barry Pyle, Derrick Francis, Rane Hardgrave, and Ashleigh Sanford. Mick Perry also received the lance Radford Leadership Award. We made a special "Eye of the Eagle" award to MSgt James Steppe for all his great support in getting our units flights in C-130 and C-17 aircraft. We were especially proud and honored to have veterans and officials from several national organizations on hand to help present the awards. Major General Arthur Baiden was especially gracious with time special tribute to our cadets. Other presenters included Major Guy Palmer, who also did a "Toast to the Flag," Captain Lewis Langley, Colonel Joel Heiser, Mr. David Fudge, Mr. David Johnson, Mr. Gilbert Scales, MSgt Wilton Mauldin, and, of course, our Principal, Mr. Lance Radford. The two flag cakes were a perfect ending to the evening. Congratulations to all our outstanding cadets.
